Towards a BIM Coordination Model

During the infrastructure design process in model authoring software such as Civil 3D, Open Roads, and others, several objects relevant to the technical solution are created. However, they are not of interest to BIM coordinators in their interactions with the end client. As a result, when opening the raw design model in Navisworks, Solibri, or other BIM coordination software, you will notice the need to eliminate these objects and make other adjustments. In this session, you will learn an innovative, streamlined technique to convert raw infrastructure design models into IFC 4.3 models suitable for BIM coordination, substantially improving communication and model visualization in coordination software such as Navisworks, Solibri, and others.
